About Unbehagen Advisors


Unbehagen Advisors is an accounting, tax, and financial planning firm that was established 18 years ago in Tarpon Springs, Florida, by Lois & Roger Unbehagen, EA. The firm was founded on a few basic principals:

  • Entrepreneurs/business owners should spend time marketing and managing their operations—not doing accounting and keeping up with the latest tax laws
  • People should pay the lowest amount of tax legally possible
  • Everyone should expect excellence in customer service from the professionals whom they pay to advise them

Their son, Todd Unbehagen, EA, ATA, ATP, began work in the practice almost a decade ago, and his vision for the future has grown Unbehagen Advisors into what it is today. Roger & Lois retired in 2009, and Todd assumed full responsibility for the management of the firm.

To fulfill the long term goals of Unbehagen Advisors, Conan A. Raitt was brought on to fill the void left by Roger. His 17 years of experience as a tax professional ensures that the Unbehagen Philosophy of legal tax avoidance, coupled with excellence in customer service, is carried on well into the future.

The final piece of the puzzle was the integration of financial services into the practice, which was introduced to fulfill the demands of a client base in need of financial planning that they could trust. Allen Kahn was added to the team because of his natural ability to ascertain the goals of an individual and provide a realistic plan to reach those goals.

Our other team managers include Stephanie Haynes - Accounting Manager, and Cathy Schaibly - Practice Manager.
